NOTE: only the Kong_30700M-093016 directory contains both EA8500-factory-to-ddwrt.img & ddwrt-Linksys-EA8500.bin You only need the factory-to-ddwrt.img for 1st initial install. All other installs should be done with.bin files. All other directories 'HERE' only contain the ddwrt-Linksys-EA8500.bin for install from dd-wrt to dd-wrt. Solved: Removing dd-wrt firmware and restoring to factory Hi, I have a Nighthawk R8000 which I bought with DD-Wrt firmware installed. I would like to remove that firmware and restore to a factory configuration. I might have messed things up. I selected the Factory Restore option, it downloaded some firmware and rebooted. From WRT1900AC V1 version 1.1.10.187766 firmware I was not able to load DD-WRT v3.0 [Beta] Build: 37305 factory-to-ddwrt.bin firmware but I was able to load DD-WRT v3.0 [Beta] Build: 36247 factory-to-ddwrt.bin firmware.
