So I had this router for quite a while. I bought the EA2700 when I moved to the US, without doing much research. That was a mistake. I had a bunch of the famous WRT54GL routers before and was super happy with them, mainly due to the flexibility of installing an alternative OS on it, which unleashes a lot more power and functionality.

The last step was the most difficult as it required asking our ISP to bridge the new Router, turning off internet from their Modem/Router. NOTE: To check the firmware version of a Linksys Smart Wi-Fi Router using Linksys cloud account, The installer came in and got it working. It worked for a few days then it stopped working. For some unknown reason someone must have undone the changes made by the installer. I finally got it all working, including the wireless. The original installer never gave my friend the Router login & password (L/I comcast P/W 1234).
